  • 15 ml dark soy sauce (adds depth to flavors)
  • 60 ml water (for consistency)
  • 30 ml Marmite (key flavor ingredient)
  • 60 ml honey (balances savoriness)
  • 30 ml mirin (enhances flavor profile)

Instructions

  1. Start by dunking the chicken strips in the whisked egg whites, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  2. Next, roll the egg-coated chicken in the corn flour until it’s evenly covered.
  3. In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Carefully add the coated chicken strips to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Once fried, remove the chicken pieces from the heat and drain them on a kitchen towel.
