Description

Delicious Thai Banana Fritters with Choco Filling Made Easy


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds
  • 3/4 cup ice water
  • 4 banana kepok
  • 1/2 cup chocolate spread

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine all-purpose flour, rice flour, cornstarch, sugar, and salt. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Gradually pour in the cold ice water while mixing until the batter is smooth.
  3. Add melted butter and vanilla extract into the batter. Stir until combined.
  4. Fold in black sesame seeds gently. Cover batter with plastic wrap and chill in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  5. Peel the banana kepok and set them aside.
  6. In a frying pan, heat enough oil over medium heat until hot.
  7. Grease a sheet of baking paper with a hint of oil.
  8. Place a peeled banana on the greased baking paper and roll it up.
  9. Flatten the wrapped banana on a cutting board, then dip into the chilled batter.
  10. Lower the coated banana into hot oil and fry until half-cooked, then dip it again and fry until golden brown.
  11. Once golden and crispy, cut a small opening on top of each fritter and fill with chocolate spread.
