  • Food coloring of choice

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and sugar, beating for about 1 1/2 minutes until light and fluffy.
  2. Next, mix in the vanilla, almond extract, and large egg. Beat the mixture well to incorporate everything.
  3. Gradually add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the wet mixture. Stir until well combined and then chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  4. Lightly dust your countertop with powdered sugar and roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
  5. Use cookie cutters to cut out fun shapes, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F and bake the cookies for 7-8 minutes.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix the powdered sugar, milk, corn syrup, and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Use a piping bag to frost the cooled cookies with lovely details.
