Fluffy Soda Farls: A Quick Way to Elevate Your Breakfast!

- 250 g plain flour
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 heaped tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 225 ml buttermilk
- 0 extra flour for dusting
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the plain flour, salt, sugar, and bicarbonate of soda. Stir well until evenly mixed.
- Create a well in the center of your dry mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Quickly stir until just combined.
- Transfer the mixture onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly until it comes together. Roll the dough into a circle about 20cm in diameter and cut into quarters.
- Heat a skillet over low-medium heat. Add the farls, cooking for 8-10 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove from heat, allowing the farls to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Enjoy warm with butter.
