This Slow Cooker Bread is soft, fluffy, and perfectly golden using your crockpot. With just a few simple ingredients and your crockpot, you can enjoy homemade bread that’s warm, comforting, and incredibly easy to make.

- 1 1/2 cups warm water (approximately 105º F)
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting)
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Mix together warm water, yeast and sugar in a bowl or measuring cup. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it has foamed up and the yeast is active.
- In a large bowl mix together flour, oil, salt, and the yeast mixture. Stir until it forms a shaggy dough.
- Place on a lightly floured surface and knead for 2 minutes, until it is a smooth dough, adding more flour as necessary.
- Place a piece of parchment paper in the base of your 6 quart crockpot. Put the smooth ball of dough in the center.
- Cover your crockpot with a tea towel, and then place the lid on your crockpot. Cook on high for 2 hours.
- After 2 hours carefully remove the bread from the crockpot. Place on a baking sheet and place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, if you want it golden brown on top.
