- 2 large potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and grate them using a grater. Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out excess moisture. Transfer the dried potatoes into a mixing bowl.
- Add the shredded cheese, flour, egg, salt, and pepper into the bowl with grated potatoes. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined. Take small portions of the mixture in your hands and form them into stick shapes. Place each shaped stick onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- If frying: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Carefully add potato cheese sticks into hot oil until golden brown on all sides. If baking: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for about 20-25 minutes until crispy and golden.
